Ketogenic Breakfast Is Not Only Eggs and Bacon!

The ketogenic diet is high in fat, includes a moderate amount of protein, and is calculatedly low in carbohydrates. Eating a great ketogenic breakfast in the morning --to start your day fat-energized-- helps your overall well-being. Of course your diet as a whole matters more than just what you eat at breakfast.

When you are on a ketogenic diet, your body goes into ketosis in the scarcity of carbohydrates. Your metabolism switches from burning carbs into burning fat for fuel.

If you are already cutting ...

*** sugars and added sugars, *** seed oils and trans fats, *** bread and other flour based baked products, *** pasta products, *** rice, beans and grains, *** fructose loaded fruits, and *** processed foods

out of your diet in order to fix your heath, you're on your way to achieving ketosis.

For us, having a good ketogenic breakfast is not only bacon and eggs (which are great), because our internationally elevated taste buds get bored quickly. That’s why we have developed a bunch of new keto breakfast ideas! The one we introduce in this article is a great keto breakfast option without eggs taking the center stage.

Eggs can be a staple item in the ketogenic dieter's breakfast. They can be served in many ways -boiled, poached, fried or scrambled- or in form of a delicious low-carb veggie omelet (mustard greens, kale, asparagus and mushrooms), or a low-carb quiche crafted with heavy cream, onion, butter and cheese, plus seasoning.

But you can also leave them out occasionally.
