Next week, we have on the menu two delicious CHILLED meals for you to enjoy.
Our Raspberry Power Bowl is fantastic when eaten well chilled. This delicacy is packed with powerful superfoods to get you through the day. This flavorful bowl comes with our house made perfectly ketogenic granola. It is perfect for a summer day breakfast of brunch. It is so creamy, you won't even crave for an ice cream. This meal requires no preparation.
Our salad for next week is the BBQ chicken with BBQ Ranch Dressing. This salad is loaded with cucumbers, cilantro and Romaine salad, all perfect for your proper hydration and fiber. Cucumbers in particular are a great vegetable that contain a lot of water to help you stay cool. Remember that water from food counts toward your overall daily fluid intake. This meal requires no preparation so that you can survive the heat of the summer. Just transfer into your favorite bowl, add our delicious BBQ dressing, mix and enjoy.
Next week, we continue with two Mediterranean themed summer dishes.
Ali Nazik is one of the most famous kabob varieties from the south eastern part of Turkey, close to the Middle East region. This delicious meal is prepared with on open fire smoked eggplant (a kind of babaganush), and cubed lamb meat. The combination is typically served with a piece of lavash bread, kosher style pickled cucumber or garlicky yogurt on the side. It requires no preparation. Just heat n' eat!
It's Summer! Eat Like You Are on a Greek Island! Did you know that kabobs cooked on a skewer over open fire have a 4000 years history, dating back to ancient Greece? The earliest references are attested to 17th century BC Homer. Everyone who has visited a Greek restaurant has tasted at least once the famous “Greek Souvlaki Plate”, a very tasteful dish that has become a trademark of the modern Greek culture along with Greek yogurt and feta cheese. Please enjoy the skewer while hot. You can roll the skewers in our low carb pita bread with lemon, vegetables and our house Greek sauce.
The perfect meal for a decadent breakfast!
Chef Janine mastered another light summer meal for you for next week. We are serving our unique and deliciously creamy Egg Bites Benedict prepared with Sous Vide method and served on chaffles (cheese waffles). Eggs contain all of the who’s who of essential nutrients and vitamin and are a valuable addition to your ketogenic diet. In short, this meal is loaded with Vitamin B12, protein, Omega 3 polyunsaturates, essential fatty acid and minerals, lutein and zeaxanthin - known to reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration - and the neurological nutrient choline. The perfect option for a decadent breakfast. Go ahead and crack a smile!
Cool Eastern winds for a hot summer!
Sesame Chicken is a Chinese dish named from the sesame seeds that are used in the preparation. The dish is from the southern China (Canton region). It's claimed to have begun in the 1980s, when the chefs of Hong Kong's now-closed Red Chamber Restaurant created this dish, combining sesame oil and sesame seeds.
Chef Janine uses of course caulirice as a delicious ketogenic substitute for the regular white rice which is typically used for this delicious meal. Bite-sized bits of chicken thigh is stir-fried in perfectly ketogenic bacon fat, and seasoned mildly spicy with oyster or squid sauce, ginger, garlic and fresh ground black pepper.
