Creamy Tuscan chicken is an indulgent, flavorful, and comforting meal perfect for a festive culinary start to the new year! This Italian favorite is fancy enough for Date Night or Sunday Dinner or for the satisfying conclusion of a busy weeknight. The classic Tuscan version is served usually over pasta, rice, or with potatoes on the side. This creamy, cheesy chicken dish was most likely popularized in North America by Olive Garden as Tuscan Garlic Chicken.
For this superb Italian treat, Chef Janine uses hormone- and antibiotic free chicken breast which she first seasons overnight and then sears to golden brown perfection. It's juicy and tender, and even juicier when smothered in Chef Janine's luxuriously creamy Tuscan sauce which is mastered with the natural juices from pan-seared chicken breast, mixed with our house made chicken broth, fresh garlic, shallots, butter, heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, arugula (instead of spinach) and Chef Janine's special blend of Italian herbs and spices. This delicious sauce has the best combination of ingredients for incredible depth of flavor in every bite.
Of course pasta, rice, or potatoes are all too carby/starchy and can not be served as ketogenic. Chef Janine's ketogenic version of this delicacy is served on seasonal spaghetti squash. Also, Chef Janine does not serve spinach to our customers due to this vegetable's extremely high oxalate content (very bad for kidneys). Instead, she chooses fresh arugula as the perfect spinach substitute.
